Business Management Certificate Level 1 Basic and Advanced and A.A.S. (52.0201) Uvalde, Eagle Pass, and Del Rio Campuses - Limited Course Offerings at Off-Campus Sites
Faculty and Staff
Purpose
A nationwide shortage of qualified management and supervisory personnel is hindering the progress of individual companies and curtailing economic growth at all levels. This program is designed to meet both the needs of people preparing for careers in business management as well as those who are already actively engaged in business and industry. It is structured to provide functional management theory that can be applied immediately to the job. The Business Management program includes studies in basic principles of management, general administration, small business, leadership, and related areas. The course of instruction outlined for this program is designed to lead to a Level One Basic Certificate, Level One Advanced Certificate, and an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. The program is available to both day and evening students.
Admission Requirements
Students are admitted to the Business Management program through the regular college admission procedures (see Admission Regulations section). Students will receive a Level One Basic Certificate, Level One Advanced Certificate, or an A.A.S. degree upon satisfactory completion of the courses below for each corresponding credential requirement and upon making formal application for graduation (see Curricula section). The Level 1 Certificates are TSI exempt; however, those not meeting Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements are encouraged to enroll in the appropriate developmental course(s).
